There are 2 main types of the new driver CPC
- The Initial Qualification (for all new licence holders) which consists of 2 new modules, for this you need to contact the DSA on 0300 200 1122 and complete ideally before you commence your practical training or these can be done after you have obtained your licence.
- Driver Periodic Training (for all LGV existing licence holders) consisting of 5 modules each consisting of 7 hours of training, for this you will need to attend a JAUPT approved training centre and complete the 35 hours of training before 2014.
Please note: All new licence holders will need to complete the 35 hours of Periodic training within 5 years of obtaining their new licence if they want to use the licence to earn a living.
